One afternoon when I was visiting Aunt Tillie, I opened my Bible to read to her while we waited for her lunch to arrive. She had not spoken a word for seven weeks, not a single word. As I began reading the 23rd Psalm, she joined me and recited the entire Psalm word-for-word then ended saying “Beautiful, sooooo beautiful.” She never spoke another word all the remaining months of her life. I knew I had to recreate this scene in the dramatized audio production.

If you haven’t read Pastor Max Lucado’s book, Traveling Light, you must. Your understanding of the 23rd Psalm will forever be changed.

It was a great honor to personally meet him at the 2010 Christian Writer’s Guild Conference in Denver and have him autograph my copy of Traveling Light. I will treasure that moment forever.
